I approached Logan to restart my 6 year old TB mare who had a light start as a 4 year old then put in foal. She was very sweet natured but incredibly strong in hand, difficult to tie and we really had no idea of her level of education under saddle.

After weaning her foal and not wanting to breed any more I made the decision to find a trainer who would give her a second chance at a new career as a sport horse, I chose Logan.

Even before her arrival Logan had called me and discussed the mares feed requirements and what skills she would need for her to succeed in her new career.

My requirements were she needed to be easier to handle, be a little more independent and not to work her hard, just give her time to sort herself out. The “pretty stuff” we could work on ourselves. Being a little light in condition and a stress type I did wonder if this could be possible but Logan assured me it was.

Every step of the way Logan kept me informed of her progress, I have never had that level of communication and open conversation from anyone else, he really did make me feel like I was part of the process.

Logan took on board my requirements of her and day by day chipped away at her education, going slow, not tiring her, or stressing her further just bite sized pieces of the puzzle that she managed to put together herself…. Just like he said she would.

After a few weeks she arrived home and is currently thriving in her competition home, she is a pleasure to handle, tie, shoe, ride, has good solid life skills and we are very excited in her future.

I can highly recommend Logan in his skill with the horses their care and his dedication to seeing that horse thrive going forward, he has even kept in touch prior to her coming home to ensure everything is going well, not many trainers have that level of commitment once they leave their property.

We were blown away by Logan's skills in horsemanship during his recent visit to Ruatoria on the East Coast. In just one week, he worked wonders with two of our horses that had been labeled unworkable due to their behavioral problems. One horse had crippling anxiety, while the other exhibited aggressive bucking. Logan's calm and patient approach, combined with his dedication and expertise, completely transformed them both. We are deeply grateful for his help and highly recommend him to anyone struggling with similar issues.
